Innovation = Novation

Reaffirming Novotel’s mission to set the standard in hotel innovation, we have been rolling out the concept of the contemporary and hospitable new Novation room worldwide since 2003. So it’s no wonder that a key part of Novotel Amsterdam City’s metamorphosis involved the introduction of this successful concept throughout the hotel. The inviting atmosphere, comfort, design and amenities of our Novation rooms meet the needs of our business and leisure guests alike. The key elements in the creation of this concept are space, modern colours and flexibility. These rooms are characterized by their contemporary design, with extra-long beds (2.10 metres), cosy duvets, fully-equipped bathrooms, a pivoting desk with large working space, a comfortable sofa and an extra-large safe to accommodate laptops.

Superior Novation room

In total the hotels has 600 Superior Novation rooms, from which 150 are twin-bedded.

All of these roomsare equipped with an extra-long bed, a modern bathroom, a pivoting desk and a sofa. These rooms are fully air-conditioned, with a minibar, tea and coffee-making facilities, an extra-large safe (large enough to accommodate laptops), television with entertainment system, radio and telephone. We offer both wireless and hard-wired broadband Internet in these rooms (subject to a charge).

Executive Novation room

You’ll receive a VIP welcome in one of our nine Executive Novation rooms. In addition to the facilities offered by our Superior rooms, they provide a Nespresso coffee making machine, bathrobes and slippers, under floor heating and double vanity facilities in the bathroom and a king-size bed. We offer both wireless (subject to charge) and hard-wired broadband Internet in these rooms (free of charge). A docking station for your laptop is available in the room.
